Spa Rd., 900 block, 10:30 p.m. Aug. 23 to 7 a.m. Aug. 24. A black Verona motor scooter was stolen from a parking lot.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Clarksville Pike, 12200 block, 7:15 p.m. Aug. 25 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 26. A door was damaged during an attempt to break into a snowball stand. Nothing was reported missing.
COLUMBIA AREA
ROBBERIES
Basket Ring Rd., 8600 block, 2:16 p.m. Aug. 24. A male sat down next to a female sitting on some steps, then grabbed her arm as she got up to leave, which caused her to drop cigarettes and cash. After threatening her with a rock, he picked up the property and fled.
Little Patuxent Pkwy. and Banneker Rd., 1:13 a.m. Aug. 24. A man told police that while walking home from a bar he had been attacked from behind and robbed of his cellphone. The phone was recovered nearby. No injuries were reported.
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Whetstone Rd., 5000 block, 8:04 a.m. Aug. 28. A bike and an alcoholic beverage were stolen from a garage. A freezer lid was left open.

Old Frederick Rd., 14500 block, 3 p.m. Aug. 22 to 8:10 a.m. Aug. 23. A blower was stolen from a salt-dome storage building entered by cutting a gate lock and a building lock. An unsuccessful attempt was made to steal a fuel storage tank.
Route 97, 2400 block, 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25 to 9 a.m. Aug. 27. Cash was stolen from a cash register at a barber shop entered by prying open a back door.
ELKRIDGE AREA
ROBBERIES
Washington Blvd., 6500 block, 1:05 a.m. Aug. 30. A male who implied that he had a gun robbed a convenience store of cash.

Graftons View Ct., 6200 block, 1:44 to 3:17 p.m. Aug. 27. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a basement door.
Green Tree Ct., 8000 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 24 to 11:15 a.m. Aug. 25. Electronics and camera equipment were stolen from a residence entered through a basement window.
Washington Blvd., 6200 block, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22 to 9 a.m. Aug. 23. A car stereo and a chain saw were stolen from an automotive business entered by climbing through a rear window accessed from the top of a box truck. Unsuccessful attempts were made to steal property from two safes, both of which were damaged.
Washington Blvd., 6200 block, 2:16 a.m. Aug. 24. A laptop computer, a flashlight and a screwdriver were stolen from an office at a sandwich shop entered through a ventilation shaft in the roof. An unsuccessful attempt was made to open a floor-mounted safe.
ELLICOTT CITY AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Resort Rd., 11000 block, 4 p.m. Aug. 24 to 7 a.m. Aug. 27. Wiring was stolen from utility poles at a construction site. Two storage trailers were entered by cutting locks, but nothing was reported missing from either one.
GLENWOOD AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
Route 97, 3000 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 25 to 10 a.m. Aug. 25. A cash drawer was stolen from an ice cream stand.
LAUREL AREA
ROBBERIES
Fens Hollow and Gorman Rd., 2:55 a.m. Aug. 25. Three men robbed a male of his wallet at gunpoint, then fled in a vehicle. Three Laurel men, ages 20, 21 and 21, were charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, and concealment of a dangerous weapon.

Midway Ave., unit block, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28. A handgun, silverware, jewelry, rare currency and a coin collection were stolen from a residence entered by smashing a rear window. Neighbors said that they saw a man and woman outside the premises who said that they were looking for a lost cat.

Leisher Rd., 8200 block, 7:12 p.m. Aug. 25. A blue Chevrolet S-10 was stolen.

Sobus Dr., 3000 block, Aug. 24 to 5 a.m. Aug. 26. Four dirt bikes were stolen from an open garage.

Old Frederick Rd., 10700 block, 10:30 p.m. Aug. 25 to 10:40 a.m. Aug. 26. An attempt was made to break into a snowball stand by forcing locks. Nothing was reported missing.
Woodstock Rd., 1400 block, 2:43 a.m. Aug. 28. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered by forcing a front window.
