ANNAPOLIS AREA
ROBBERIES

Cape St. Claire Rd., 1900 block, 9:50 a.m. Sept. 5. Two males demanded cash from a pedestrian at gunpoint. When he resisted, the victim was struck by one of the assailants, who then fled empty-handed in a dark-green vehicle. No serious injuries were reported.

GLEN BURNIE AREA
ROBBERIES

Furnace Branch Rd. W., 1600 block, 3:27 p.m. Aug. 30. A male who implied that he had a weapon robbed a convenience store and fled on foot.

Ritchie Hwy. and Aquahart Rd., 11:22 a.m. Sept. 5. A passenger in a vehicle demanded cash from the motorist, then robbed her after his actions forced her to stop. A Severna Park man, 36, was arrested on charges that included robbery.

Secluded Post Cir., 400 block, 10:49 p.m. Sept. 5. Two males attacked a woman walking near her residence and robbed her of property. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Fifth Ave. SW, 200 block, 10:35 p.m. Sept. 3. Two men forced their way into a residence and shot an occupant several times. A 42-year-old man was taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to his torso.

Annapolis

ASSAULTS

Hicks Ave. near Dorsey Ave., Sept. 1. A man who walked into Anne Arundel Medical Center with a gunshot wound told police that two men had approached him that morning and demanded cash, then shot him in the hand as he ran away. During their investigation into the incident, police arrested the 31-year-old Annapolis man on an outstanding warrant.

Madison St., 1100 block, 12:45 a.m. Sept. 1. A woman was brought to a hospital for treatment of stab wounds to her neck and a hand.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Awald Rd., 900 block, noon Sept. 3 to 5 a.m. Sept. 4. An inflatable boat that had been tied to a larger watercraft was stolen from a slip.

Hammond Pl., 400 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 31 to 1 p.m. Sept. 1. A mountain bike was among property stolen from the back yard of a residence.

Margaret Ave., 1800 block, 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 29. A cellphone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Sandstone Ct., unit block, 7 p.m. Sept. 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 4. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a sliding-glass door. Nothing was reported missing.

School St., unit block, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 5. A light-blue Globe bicycle was stolen.

West St., 1900 block, 2:45 a.m. Aug. 31. A man was arrested as he tried to break into a vehicle in a parking lot. Two nearby vehicles also had been entered. An Annapolis man, 44, was charged with three counts of rogue and vagabond, trespassing and possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Madison St., 1100 block, 1 to 4 a.m. Sept. 1. A silver Renegade motor scooter was stolen from a parking lot.

CLARKSVILLE AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bright Flow Mews, 5900 block, 3:55 a.m. Aug. 31. An occupied residence was entered through an open garage. The intruder fled empty-handed when confronted.

Crossfield Ct., 6900 block, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 2. A safe containing cash, business records and personal documents was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a back door.

COLUMBIA AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cedar Lane, 5000 block, 4:55 p.m. Aug. 31. A group of at least 10 young males took several cases of water and soda from a shed at a park, then dropped most of the property to the ground when confronted and ran away.

Jericho Rd., 5000 block, 1 to 9 p.m. Sept. 1. A ring was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a back door.

Watchwood Path, 5100 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 31. An attempt was made to steal property from a residence entered by cutting a screen and breaking a window in a sunroom. Occupants said the home had been burglarized on July 31, with property stolen from the garage.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Hilltop Lane, 10800 block, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 30 to 7:28 a.m. Aug. 31. A blue 2002 Hyundai Elantra was stolen.

Robert Oliver Pl., 5800 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 3 to 4:25 p.m. Sept. 4. A moped was stolen.

ELKRIDGE AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Aspern Dr., 6600 block, 6 to 10:32 p.m. Sept. 5. An occupied residence was entered through a front door. The intruder rifled through a closet, then fled empty-handed.

Santa Barbara Rd., 6600 block, noon Sept. 1 to 7 a.m. Sept. 3. A safe containing cash, checks and gas cards was stolen from a store entered by breaking a front window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Dorsey Run Rd., 7100 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 30. A gray 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck, a blue 2003 Cadillac Seville and a 2001 Lincoln Navigator were stolen from an auction lot. The Lincoln was recovered in Prince George’s County.

Washington Blvd., 6200 block, 3:19 a.m. Sept. 1. A tan 1997 Ford F-350 was stolen. It was recovered in the Lansdowne area of Baltimore County.

ELLICOTT CITY AREA
ROBBERIES

North Ridge Rd., 3300 block, 2:14 p.m. Aug. 30. A man wearing a mask demanded cash from two employees at a dry cleaner at knifepoint. An Ellicott City man, 27, was arrested. Charges included attempted robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and concealment of a deadly weapon. No injuries were reported.

Town and Country Blvd., 8700 block, 2:29 a.m. Sept. 6. Two males demanded cash from a pedestrian, then attacked him when he resisted. No serious injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Brian Ct., 2800 block, Aug. 31 to Sept. 1. A break-in occurred at a residence. Property was moved around, but nothing was reported missing.

Butterfruit Way, 11400 block, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m Aug. 31. A residence was entered by breaking glass in a back door. Property was moved around, but nothing was reported missing.

Montgomery Rd., 7100 block, 1:32 p.m. Sept. 4. A refrigerator, a stove and a sink were stolen from a vacant house entered by cutting a padlock on a side door.

Waterloo Rd., 7900 block, 6:15 to 7:52 a.m. Sept. 4. Beer was stolen from a liquor store entered by kicking in plywood covering a back entrance. The store had been damaged by a fire Sept. 3.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Route 97, 2000 block, 2:29 a.m. Sept. 5. A store was entered by removing a front door lock. An alarm panel was disabled and an attempt was made to break into an ATM with a power tool. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 97, 2400 block, 1:24 a.m. Aug. 27. An attempt was made to break into a sandwich shop by forcing a door. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 97, 2400 block, 9:30 Aug. 29 to 11 a.m. Aug. 30. An attempt was made to break into a nail salon by forcing a door. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 97, 2400 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 29 to 3 p.m. Aug. 30. An attempt was made to break into a barbershop by tampering with a lock on a back door. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 97, 3000 block, Aug. 10 to 11. Cash was stolen from a snowball stand entered by cutting a lock off a door. The break-in was reported late.

JESSUP AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Savage-Guilford Rd., 8200 block, 5:34 p.m. Sept. 1. An elementary school was entered through the roof. Three juveniles were arrested at the scene.

LAUREL AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cross St., unit block, 7:09 p.m. Sept. 2. A residence was entered by kicking in the front door. Property was moved around, but nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Washington Blvd., 9900 block, 3:53 p.m. Sept. 4. A 2010 Toyota Tacoma was stolen.
