Swift Stream Pl., 10300 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 4 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 6. An attempt was made to break into a residence by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

Swift Stream Pl., 10300 block, 3:14 p.m. Sept. 10. A TV was stolen from an apartment.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Columbia Crossing Cir., 6200 block, 9:45 p.m. Sept. 6. A black 2011 Kaitong motor scooter was stolen.

Dobbin Center Way, 6400 block, 12:32 a.m. Sept. 9. A 1999 International 4700 Rollback tow truck was stolen. It was recovered on Southwestern Boulevard near I-95 on Sept. 7 with a stolen Ford F-550 on its bed. That vehicle’s engine was missing. The Ford had been reported stolen in Reisterstown on Sept. 8.

ELKRIDGE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Green Tree Ct., 8000 block, noon Sept. 4 to 10 a.m. Sept. 8. A vacant house was entered by removing a basement window. Nothing was reported missing.

Lawyers Hill Rd., 8300 block, noon Sept. 6 to 10:45 a.m. Sept. 7. A snow thrower, two generators and two gas cans were stolen from a shed.

Marshalee Dr., 6000 block, 3:38 a.m. Sept. 9. Police responding to a report of glass shattered in the front door of a nail salon found a man carrying a TV from the premises. The TV and a money bag from the salon were recovered. A restaurant and another hair salon in the same block also had been broken into. A Patterson, N.J., man, 53, was charged with several counts of breaking-and-entering.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Washington Blvd., 7100 block, 9:19 a.m. Sept. 7. Two Nissan Altimas were stolen. They were recovered that same day in in a wooded area near Montevideo Road.

ELLICOTT CITY AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Deer Trail, 2800 block, 11:45 p.m. Sept. 7 to 7:45 a.m. Sept. 8. Two purses were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked sliding-glass door.

Frederick Rd., 15800 block, 12:54 a.m. Sept. 8. Glass was broken in a door at a gas station. Nothing was reported missing.

Montgomery Rd., 7100 block, 2:12 p.m. Sept. 12. A police officer saw a suspicious vehicle parked near a vacant house that had been burglarized in the past. A man was found inside with several tools in his possession. A man, 51, of no fixed address, was charged with first-degree burglary.

Old Frederick Rd.,13000 block, 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 12. The front door was kicked in at a residence, triggering an alarm. Nothing was reported missing.

Route 40, 8000 block, 5:30 a.m. Sept. 8 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9. Equipment, tools and office supplies were stolen from three trailers at a construction site.

Willow Lane, 2800 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7. Coins and a jewelry box were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Browns Bridge Rd., 7200 block, 3 a.m. Aug. 21. Cash was stolen from a car parked in a garage at a residence.

Wayneridge St., 11800 block, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3 to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 6. A front window was broken in a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

GLENELG AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ten Oaks Rd., 6000 block, noon Aug. 29 to 9 p.m. Sept. 8. Jewelry was stolen from a house. There was no sign of forced entry.

Ten Oaks Rd., 3900 block, July 16-Sept. 12. A generator, power tools, jacks and silver coins were stolen from an automotive service center. There was no sign of forced entry.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Washington Blvd., 9800 block, 3:26 a.m. Sept. 11. Electronics and car audio accessories were stolen from a business. At 2 a.m. Sept. 12, an attempt was made to break into the business by tampering with the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Washington Blvd., 9800 block, 5:08 a.m. Sept. 7. A 2004 Ford F-350 truck was stolen.

Waverly Mansion Dr., 2300 block, 9:21 a.m. Sept. 8. An attempt was made to break into the Historical Waverly Mansion by forcing a basement door. Nothing was reported missing.

Addison Way, 14700 block, 11:25 a.m. to 12:08 p.m. Sept. 12. Weapons and ammunition were stolen from a safe in a residence entered by kicking in the front door.
