ANNAPOLIS AREA

ROBBERIES

Riva Rd., 2400 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 6. A man robbed a motel office of cash at gunpoint.

BROOKLYN PARK AREA

HOMICIDES

Ritchie Hwy., 6000 block, 9:02 p.m. Oct. 5. Responding to the report of a fight, police found Nick Gilbert Gartelman Sr., 50, suffering from injuries sustained during an assault. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. An investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

Zeppelin Ave., 100 block, 10:40 p.m. Oct. 11. Two male teenagers robbed a male of a dirt bike at gunpoint. The victim said that he had taken the bike to this address to complete a transaction made through the Internet.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

ROBBERIES

Mountain Rd., 100 block, 11:15 p.m. A gas station was robbed. An Annapolis man, 21, was arrested.

Southbridge Dr., 100 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 9. Five males wearing masks forced their way into an apartment at gunpoint, then fled with cash and property. A Glen Burnie male, 17, was arrested. Charges included armed robbery, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment. An investigation was continuing.

Winding Wood Rd., 8000 block, 8:15 p.m. Oct. 8. A male attacked a pedestrian, then fled with her purse. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

LINTHICUM AREA

ROBBERIES

Nursery and Mansion roads, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6. A male robbed a male of cash, then fled with a male accomplice. The victim was treated for a cut sustained during the incident.

Raynor Ave., 5100 block, 7:53 p.m. Oct. 6. Two males forced their way into a motel room at gunpoint, then fled with property and the keys to a Dodge Durango that had been rented by one of the occupants. The vehicle was recovered in the 400 block of Arundel Corporation Road in Glen Burnie.

PASADENA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Alvin Rd., 8400 block, 3:05 p.m. Oct. 4. A male seen trying to break into a residence ran to a wooded area when confronted. After a chase that ended at a nearby elementary school, a 27-year-old Severn man was arrested.

SEVERN AREA

ROBBERIES

Deerfield Cir., 8300 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 7. Two male teenagers threatened a male and robbed him of a tablet computer. During a struggle for the device, the victim said, a shot was fired and the assailants fled in a white four-door vehicle driven by an accomplice. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bay Ridge Ave. and Adams St., Oct. 8. Responding to a report of suspicious activity around parked vehicles, police arrested a 15-year-old male and charged him with rogue and vagabond.

Bay Ridge Ave., 1800 block, 2:30 to 5:20 p.m. Oct. 9. A purse and papers were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Belvedere Ct., unit block, 4 p.m. Oct. 4 to 10:50 a.m. Oct. 5. A registration card was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Belvedere Ct., unit block, 7 p.m. Oct. 4 to 2 p.m. Oct. 5. A global positioning system device, CDs and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Boucher Ave., 1000 block, 4:45 p.m. Oct. 3. A mountain bike was stolen from a back yard. The bike’s lock had been cut, and a group of juveniles recently had been seen in the neighborhood.

Brewer Ave., unit block, 9 a.m. Oct. 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10. Two bicycles that had been chain-locked to a tree were stolen.

Clay St., 100 block, 8 a.m. Oct. 5 to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9. A residence was entered by breaking glass in a back door. Nothing was reported missing.

Colonial Ave., unit block, 8 a.m. Oct. 4 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8. Tools were stolen from the bed of a pickup truck.

Copeland St., 1800 block, 6:20 p.m. Oct. 8. An attempt was made to enter a residence by damaging a back door. Nothing was reported missing.

Gemini Dr., 1200 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 3 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 5. An unlocked vehicle was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

German St., unit block, 7 p.m. Oct. 6 to noon Oct. 7. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. It was recovered in the unit block of Constitution Square. A cellphone, earrings and a WiFi card were missing.

Giddings Ave., 300 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 6. A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Giddings Ave., 300 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Jefferson Pl., unit block, 9 p.m. Oct. 5 to noon Oct. 6. A flashlight and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Jefferson Pl., unit block, 11:30 p.m. Oct. 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 6. A global positioning system device and cash were among property stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Madison St., 1100 block, 2 p.m. Oct. 5 to 1 a.m. Oct. 7. A wristwatch and cash were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

McGuckian St., 1500 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 9 to 7 a.m. Oct. 10. A bicycle was stolen by cutting a lock.

Silopanna Rd., 100 block, 9:30 a.m. Oct. 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 4. A global positioning system device was stolen from a vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry.

Truxton Park, 7 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2. A global positioning system device and a CB radio were stolen from an unlocked boat.

West St., 2000 block, 7 to 7:10 p.m. Oct. 8. A tablet computer, DVDs and medication were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

West St., 1400 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 9 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 10. A bicycle was stolen from a bike rack on a vehicle.

Windwhisper Lane, 900 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 to 8 a.m. Oct. 2. An unlocked vehicle was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

Woodward Ct., 1-99 block, 9 p.m. Oct. 4 to 7 a.m. Oct. 5. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

Corridor Rd., 8900 block, 10 a.m. Oct. 6 to 11 a.m. Oct. 8. A toolbox and two vehicle wheels were stolen from a commercial yard entered by cutting a hole in a fence.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Wake Forest, 12200 block, 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. Oct. 5. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass near the front door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Auto Dr., 12400 block, 5:52 p.m. Oct. 9. A 2007 Audi A8 was stolen from a dealership.

Clarksville Pike, 10700 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 4. A male jogging on a footpath grabbed a woman’s purse, then fled empty-handed when she screamed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Crossfield Ct., 6900 block, 9:24 p.m. Oct. 4. An attempt was made to enter a residence by breaking glass in a sliding door. Nothing was reported missing.

Ivoryhand Pl., 7000 block, 10 a.m. Oct. 5 to 6:37 p.m. Oct. 9. Two TVs, a video game system and jewelry were among property stolen from a residence entered by kicking in the front door.

Judy Lane, 10600 block, 5 a.m. Sept. 30 to 1:21 a.m. Oct. 5. Cash, jewelry and watches were among property stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a sliding door.

Oakland Mills Rd., 6900 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 4. Coins were stolen from a tanning salon entered by smashing a glass front door with a brick.

Red Branch Rd., 9100 block, Cash was taken from one register and a second register was taken entirely from a furniture store entered by breaking a glass front door with a piece of concrete.

Summer Cloud Way, 6400 block, 6:20 to 9:21 p.m. Oct. 9. Jewelry was stolen from a home entered through an unlocked sliding glass door.

Whetstone Rd., 5000 block, 1:45 to 9 p.m. Oct. 7. Jewelry, a laptop computer, a portable DVD player and a plastic cup full of coins were stolen from a home entered by cutting a hole in a screen to unlock a porch door and kicking open a back door to the interior of the home.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Dobbin Rd., 6400 block, 10:01 a.m. Oct. 4. A 1993 Ford van was stolen.

Stevens Forest Rd., 5600 block, 7 to 9:11 a.m. Oct. 7. A red 1999 Mercury was stolen.

VANDALISM

Little Patuxent Pkwy., 10800 block, 7:05 a.m. Oct. 9. A front window at a child-care center was shattered by a brick.

ELKRIDGE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Darby Downs, 7200 block, 9:31 a.m. Oct. 7. An attempt was made to enter a residence by tampering with the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Clearwater Dr., 4900 block, 8 to 10 p.m. Oct. 5. A laptop computer and a tablet computer were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Country Lane, 2900 block, 4:13 a.m. Oct. 7. An attempt was made to enter an occupied residence through the front door. A man fled empty-handed when confronted.

James Ave., 7900 block, 2:03 p.m. Oct. 4. A residence was entered through an unlocked basement window. Two males fled empty-handed when confronted by an occupant, who said that the intruders had knocked on the locked front door a few minutes earlier.

Mayfair Cir., 7700 block, 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4. Two jewelry boxes and a digital media player docking station were stolen from a residence.

Montgomery Rd., 7200 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 5 to 10:20 a.m. Oct. 6. Two cash registers and a small safe were stolen from a restaurant entered by forcing a back door.

North Ridge Rd., 3200 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 5 to 7 a.m. Oct. 6. Tools and plywood were stolen from a fenced-in construction site entered by breaking a chain.

Route 40, 10100 block, 4:43 a.m. Oct. 8. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered by breaking glass in a front door.

Tiber Falls Dr., 4100 block, 5:30 to 8:48 p.m. Oct. 4. A laptop computer, purses and a piggy bank were stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a sliding door.

Worthington Way, 4900 block, 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 4. A laptop computer, a tablet computer and cash were stolen from a residence entered through the unlocked front door. Two male teenagers were seen in the driveway at about 2 p.m.

JESSUP AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Stayton Dr., 8300 block, 9:30 a.m. Oct. 8. Copper and panels were stolen from a vacant building. A nearby building also was entered, but nothing was reported missing.

Waterloo Rd., 7700 block, 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3 to 4 a.m. Oct. 4. Copper pipes were stolen from a warehouse entered by kicking in a plywood door being used as a temporary entrance.

Washington Blvd., 8600 block, 10:55 a.m. Oct. 4. A cellphone, an MP3 player and a charger were found in a room in a vacant building entered by breaking glass in a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Waterloo Rd., 7700 block, noon Oct. 7 to 7 a.m. Oct. 8. A business was entered by breaking glass in a door. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Dorsey Run Rd., 8400 block, 12:22 a.m. Oct. 4. A black 2013 Cadillac Escalade and a black 2013 Chevrolet Camaro were stolen.

Dorsey Run Rd., 8400 block, 11:08 a.m. Oct. 3. Four 2013 Chevrolet Camaros, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, a 2013 Ford Escape and a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe were stolen from a railyard. Three of the seven vehicles were recovered, one of them in Dover, Del. Two arrests were made.

Frederick Rd., 15900 block, 7:50 p.m. Oct. 4. A blue 2002 Dodge Caravan was stolen.

LAUREL AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Wintry Day Pl., 9900 block, noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 7. A residence was entered by breaking glass near the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Mountain Laurel Way, 9700 block, 10:15 p.m. Oct. 5. A 2007 Chrysler was recovered in Damascus. The vehicle’s owner had not known that it had been stolen.

Washington Blvd., 10000 block, 9:50 a.m. Oct. 8. A black Mercedes was stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Frederick Rd., 15900 block, 7:50 p.m. Oct. 4. A blue 2002 Dodge Caravan was stolen.
