Arrest in attack on man dressed as woman

A man dressed as a woman was attacked by two women on 14th Street NW last week, and a suspect was arrested Tuesday, the D.C. police said.

Police said in a statement that a male performer who was dressed as a woman was assaulted by two women about 3:15 a.m. on June 23. The incident occurred inside an establishment in the 1800 block of 14th Street, police said.

They said Raymone Harding, 28, of Gaithersburg, was arrested Tuesday and charged with simple assault in the incident.

No motive was given for the assault. Police said the matter remains under investigation.
