Australian cattle dog missing for a year being reunited with owner who moved west

STERLING, Poplar Court, July 19. A caller reported a stray Australian cattle dog in a back yard. The dog had a microchip ID, and an animal control officer contacted the microchip company. The dog, which appeared healthy, had been missing for a year, and its owner had moved to Colorado in the meantime. The owner made arrangements with a friend to take the dog to Colorado.

Among cases received by the Loudoun County Department of Animal Services.
