Candlelight vigil for slain Prince George’s County student Marckel Ross to be held tonight
A candlelight vigil for the Prince George’s County teen who was fatally shot while walking to school this week will be held Thursday night.
The vigil, in honor of 18-year-old Marckel Ross, will be held at 8 p.m., near the scene of the slaying, in the 6100 block of Central Avenue in Capitol Heights.
Ross, a track athlete who loved dancing was gunned down Tuesday as he walked to class at Central High School. The 11th-grader was the second Prince George’s County high school student fatally shot this school year.
Police have said they have leads but no suspects in either case.
