Macy’s Cherry Blossom Flower Show: Springtime Essentials Fashion Show: Preview the season’s trends. Meet style expert, author and TV personality Daisy Lewellyn, the Queen of Effortless Chic. Macy’s at Metro Center, 1201 G St. NW. 5:30 p.m. Metro: Metro Center.

Mount Vernon Excursion Cruises: Cruise as the captain gives a narrated tour of the Potomac River’s famous landmarks. Once docked at Mount Vernon, visitors will have 31 / 2  hours to tour the estate before returning to the cruise. Cost: $44.95 for adults, $38.95 for children. Tickets may be bought online or by phone. Spirit Cruises, Pier 4, Sixth and Water streets SW. 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Metro: Waterfront.
