3 killed, 2 critically injured in Christmas Eve vehicle incidents

Three people were killed and two were critically injured in four auto incidents in the Washington region the day before Christmas.
A woman in Arlington County was fatally injured about 5 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of North Glebe Road when a car jumped the curb after a collision, authorities said.
In Middletown, Md., Lucy Peters Smith, 78, was killed in her driveway when her car rolled backward and hit her.
A man was killed on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway when his car struck a tree in a median in the Landover area.
Two people were critically injured in a crash on the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County.
