Applying predictive analytic technology to crime prevention

Former Marine Corps Reservist Yonathan Melaku was arrested June 17, 2011, at Arlington National Cemetery after a months-long spree of overnight shooting at military installations. Virginia State Police credit “geospatial predictive analytics” with helping them deploy resources as they were looking for the shooter.
