Arrest made after woman claims assault by Uber car service driver, D.C. police say

A 31-year-old Alexandria man was arrested Saturday on a sexual abuse charge after a woman told police last month that a driver for the Uber car service assaulted her in Northwest Washington, authorities said.

D.C. police said Reshad Chakari was arrested on a warrant charging him with second degree sexual abuse, the D.C. police said.

They said the alleged assault occurred July 20 in the 1400 block of Rhode Island Avenue.
