Arrests in New Year’s sex assault in DC

On New Year’s morning, a woman who had been at a party was sexually assaulted near Scott Circle NW by two acquaintances, the D.C. police said. They said two men have been arrested in the case.

Police said the woman and two acquaintances were leaving a New Year’s Eve party about 4 a.m. on Tuesday. The woman was led to a secluded area in a parking garage in the 1700 block of Rhode Island Avenue NW, and was assaulted there, police said.
