Assailants beat and rob two U-Md. students

Two University of Maryland students were beaten and robbed early Saturday by as many as 10 assailants near a student apartment house just off the College Park campus, authorities said.

Police said one of the two male students was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.

In a safety notice, the campus police said the attack occurred about 3:15 a.m. on a footpath behind the University View apartments in the 8200 block of Baltimore Avenue.
