Police ID two people killed in Gaithersburg crash

A man and a woman were killed in a two-car collision in the Gaithersburg area of Montgomery County Sunday night, authorities said.

The crash occurred just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Quince Orchard Boulevard and Quince Orchard Road. Police said a Dodge Durango headed west on Quince Orchard Road collided with a silver Acura TL as it was trying to turn left into the road’s eastbound lanes, from Quince Orchard Boulevard. The Acura, police said, had a green light, and the Durango had a red light.

Both drivers were killed, police said. Police identified the Acura’s driver as Bok Sun Kim, 67, of Gaithersburg, and the Durango’s driver as Jared Lee Fondren, 41, of Utah.
