In a statement, D.C. police said, “We are investigating an allegation of a possible assault.” Authorities said the woman is an adult.

Two police officials said the woman told detectives that a male employee of the pool is responsible. A spokesperson for the D.C. Department of Recreation and Parks could not immediately be reached.

The woman’s uncle told WRC-TV that the woman had come to the pool for an after-hours party and that after the attack, the man drove her back home to Prince William County.
