Errick Lewis arrested in Maryland Live Casino parking garage robbery

A 28-year-old Temple Hills man was charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with a robbery in the Maryland Live Casino parking garage.

Errick Maurice Lewis of the 41000 block of Silver Park Terrace was arrested Sunday after an anonymous call about a black Nissan Altima in which he was seen leaving the casino.

The robbery occurred on Saturday morning about 7 a.m. Police said video surveillance images showed Lewis approached a man who was sitting in a car in a parking garage after leaving the casino. The victim said the robber approached the car, showed a gun and demanded money. The victim gave it to him, and police said video images showed Lewis then fled in the black Nissan.

The victim was uninjured.

On Sunday, police received an anonymous call from a citizen who had spotted the car in District Heights. When the black car and another vehicle left the house, police stopped them. Lewis, who was riding in the second car, was taken in for questioning.

He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
