Fatal two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 95 in Prince George’s County kills 1

A 22-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a two-car crash on northbound Interstate 95, north of the Intercounty Connector in College Park, after driving the wrong way down the road and striking a truck trailer.

Christian Allen Knight of Olney was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima southbound on northbound I-95, when his vehicle collided head on with a 2008 Freightliner truck tractor with a trailer around 3 a.m. The crash closed all lanes on northbound I-95 for about 31/2 hours. Maryland State Police declared Knight dead at the scene, while the Freightliner driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
