A Lorton man who walked into his garage Friday afternoon was stabbed by an intruder who escaped, Fairfax County police said Saturday. The man was not critically injured.

The incident happened at 3:47 p.m. in a house in the 9500 block of Parsonage Lane, just south of Lorton Road, police said. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The intruder was described as being about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, possibly in his late teens, and wearing a green sweatshirt and blue undershirt. No racial description was available. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477.
