Loudoun man killed in domestic incident; shot at a home in Leesburg, authorities say

A 21-year-old Leesburg man was killed Saturday in a domestic-related shooting, the Loudoun County sheriff’s office said.

According to the sheriff’s office, two adult members of a family were involved an a physical confrontation that ended in gunfire.

Sheriff’s deputies were sent about 2:45 p.m. to a home on Shadow Terrace, in the Leesburg area, the sheriff’s office said. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died, the sheriff’s office said.

The incident occurred indoors, and there was no threat to the community, authorities said.

Names were withheld until relatives could be notified. The incident remained under investigation late Saturday.
