Man charged in Sunday afternoon stabbing

A Northeast Washington man was charged on Tuesday with stabbing a man to death in the Carver-Langston neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.

Malik Bilal, 38, was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with second-degree murder.

The victim, Alonzo Gregory Beasley, 52, was found at the corner of 22nd and I Streets NE at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
