Man shot to death Saturday night in D.C.

A 23-year-old man was shot to death Saturday night and a juvenile male shot and wounded in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, D.C. police said Sunday.

The dead victim was identified Sunday afternoon as Antonio Jerome Williams, of Northwest Washington. The wounded victim, whose name and age were not made public, was said to be in stable condition at a local hospital.

Officer Paul Metcalf of the Metropolitan Police Department said the shootings occurred just before midnight in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW. Police asked anyone with information about the shootings to call 202-727-9099 or to send a message to the Text Tip Line by texting 50411.
