Md. man who bragged on Facebook about dodging cops gets caught, police say

Roger Ray Ireland (Anne Arundel County Police)

A Maryland man wanted by police took to Facebook on Wednesday to brag about how he would never get caught, authorities said.

The next day, police said, he got caught.

Roger Ray Ireland, 28, was featured this week as one of Anne Arundel County Police’s “Wanted Wednesday” suspects in connection with a probation violation. That same day, police said, the Edgewater resident commented on the county police department’s Facebook post, “Y’all will never catch me...”

The next day, after following tips about Ireland’s location, detectives found him in South Baltimore, police said.

Authorities conducted a traffic stop on the car he was in and took him into custody without incident, police said.
