Men stabbed in drug-related robbery in Hyattsville, police say

December 12, 2013

Prince George’s County police said three people broke into an apartment in Hyattsville Tuesday, stole cash, and stabbed three men in what they believe is a drug-related robbery.

Officers responded around 11:15 p.m. to the 6700 block of Belcrest Road for a report of a residential robbery. When police arrived, they found three men suffering from apparent stab wounds.

One of the victims was listed in critical condition. The other two suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police said an initial investigation suggests the three armed robbers broke into the apartment, stabbed the three victims and stole money. It is not known how much they took. Police said the victims were likely targeted. There are no descriptions of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Prince George’s County police at 301-772-4905.
