MoCo police search for hit-and-run driver

Montgomery County police were searching Wednesday night for a black sedan that struck a pedestrian in Silver Spring and then fled the scene, authorities said.

Police found a man who they believe was hit by a car at the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Arliss Street about 9:15 p.m., officials said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said.

Investigators were looking for a black, four-door Honda sedan with damage to the front end and windshield, police said. The vehicle was last seen on Garland Avenue heading south towards Takoma Park, officials said.
