D.C. police reopen downtown streets after investigating suspicious package

D.C. police have reopened three streets in downtown Washington on Monday morning after investigating a suspicious package on L Street Northwest, according to authorities.

The streets — the 1900 block of L Street NW, between 19th and 20th streets, as well as 20th Street between K and L streets and K street between 19th and 20th streets — were opened to traffic about 8:20 a.m.

Police had closed the streets shortly after 7:30 a.m. The authorities would not provide details on the package.
