Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman, identified the victim as Elike Rahmon Richardson, 36, of Southeast. D.C. police had previously spelled the victim’s first name differently.

Alali said that no arrest has been made and that no motive has been determined.

Police said the attack occurred about 9:10 p.m. in the 4400 block of C Street SE. Alali said Richardson was found lying in the street, suffering from multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
