Police investigate fatal shooting of Alexandria man in D.C.

D.C. police are investigating the death of a man found shot in Southeast Washington over the weekend, authorities said.

Shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, police said. They found Willard Carlos Shelton, 38, of Alexandria, with multiple gunshot wounds. Shelton died at the hospital.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call 202-727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
