Police investigate three-vehicle collision on Fairfax County Parkway

Authorities are investigating a three-vehicle accident on Fairfax County Parkway that injured a pedestrian Monday morning.

Officer Don Gotthardt, a police spokesman, said the pedestrian, identified as a man, was struck by one of the three vehicles involved in a 6:23 a.m. collision. The man was taken to an area hospital, he said.

Gotthardt said the crash — between West Ox Road and Franklin Farm Drive — involved a tractor-trailer. He said police are unclear of the chain of events, including which vehicle hit the man.
