Prince George’s police arrest brothers in connection with fatal gas station stabbing

Prince George’s County police have arrested two brothers for their alleged involvement in a fatal stabbing that occurred outside of a gas station in Capitol Heights earlier this week.

Police have charged 21-year-old Rayshad Raderrick Stuart and 23-year-old Antjuan Jamala Stuart with first- and second-degree murder.

The Stuart brothers allegedly got into a fight with David J. Jenkins, 27, and another man outside of a gas station on Brightseat Road and Central Avenue on Sunday night, police said. Jenkins and the other man were stabbed during the incident, killing Jenkins and wounding the other man, police said.

Police arrested Rayshad Stuart on Tuesday at the Stuart family’s home in Baltimore. After further investigation, police then arrested his older brother at the same address the next day, police said. Both men admitted their involvement in the incident, police said.

It is still unclear why the fight started or if the men in the incident knew each other, authorities said.
