Prince George’s police charge D.C. man for fatal shooting in domestic dispute

Prince George’s County police have charged Demarco G. James with first-degree murder after they say he fatally shot a man at the home of James’s ex-girlfriend.

James, 31, has been on the run since August after police found 27-year-old Michael Leo Reese suffering from a gunshot wound at the home near the 2500 block of Nicol Circle in Bowie, police say. Reese died at the scene of the shooting.

James is the second man police arrested for Reese’s death.

In August, police arrested 32-year-old Vincent M. Martin of Northeast Washington at the scene of what police believe was part of a domestic dispute. Martin, who lived with James, was charged with first- and second-degree murder.

Police arrested James on Tuesday in D.C. on unrelated charges, and he will be moved to Prince George’s County.
