Two Peeping Tom incidents at UMCP

Two separate incidents of a peeping Tom are under investigation at the University of Maryland, College Park.

On Wednesday, just before 5 p.m., a female employee at the university reported an incident that occurred inside the women’s bathroom at the biology-psychology building. Another incident of a peeping Tom was reported just before 9 p.m., by a female student. That incident occurred inside a women’s bathroom at LaPlata Hall, a dorm on the campus.

Police gave a description of the suspect in the incident at the biology-psychology incident. They said the man was black, about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an athletic build and short black hair. He was wearing a purple short-sleeve shirt with graphics, light gray sweatpants, white socks and one black flip-flop.

Police did not give a description of the suspected peeping Tom in the LaPlata Hall incident.

UMCP police spokeswoman Rosanne Hoaas said it is “unknown at this time” if the same suspect is involved in both of the peeping Tom incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-405-3555.
