Two shot in parking lot in Southeast D.C.

Two people were shot and wounded in a leg Monday night in a parking lot of a Southeast Washington apartment building, D.C. police said.

Both victims were expected to survive after officers found them near the intersection of Benning Road and G Street SE about 7:30 p.m., officials said. Officers were told that three to five black males, who wore masks, fled the scene.

The two victims, a man and woman, were taken to a hospital, police said.
