Several shoppers at the Tysons Corner Center fled about 6 p.m. Saturday evening, after hearing a loud bang that was apparently caused when a trash receptacle fell or was struck, the Fairfax County police said.
The loud noise, inside a store, apparently suggested the sound of a gunshot. But no shot was fired, the police said.
