Victims ID’d in double-fatal crash in Landover; collision maybe weather related, police say

Prince George’s County police have identified two men who died Tuesday in a possible weather-related crash outside of the Landover Metro station as 21-year-old O’Sha Marquis Allen and 18-year-old Daryl Deon Davis.

The two men were in a sedan when Allen, the driver, lost control and went into the opposite lane, crashing into a taxicab, police said. The crash split the sedan carrying Allen and Davis into two sections. Each piece of the car rested about 25 feet apart when rescue crews arrived, fire officials said.

The collision occurred about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday as snow began to fall in the region. Wet conditions and speed may have played a role in the crash, police said.

The driver of the cab was sent to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, officials said.
