Victims of double murder identified as wife, mother-in-law of suspect

Prince George’s County Police identified the victims of a double homicide in Oxon Hill as the wife and mother-in-law of the man who has been arrested in the murders.

Malcolm Paul Thomas, 54, has admitted to involvement in the killing of both women, police said.

The victims were Janice Marshall-Thomas, 54, who was Thomas’s wife, and her mother, Eunice Brooks, 83.

All three people lived on the 5500 block of Chloe Drive, where Marshall-Thomas and Brooks were found dead on Saturday morning. Thomas was arrested that night in Wakefield, Va.

Thomas remained in Wakefield on Monday, authorities said, awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
