Owner refuses treatment: Sumner Rd. SE, 1100 block, July 9. A flea-infested Shih Tzu was surrendered to the humane society.

Dog’s limp untreated: G St. SE, 3000 block, July 10. A miniature poodle was impounded.

Limited resources: Douglass Pl. SE, 2700 block, July 12. An injured 5-month-old cat was surrendered to the humane society.

Cat rescued: Wahler Pl. SE, 1000 block, July 16. A cat was rescued from a storm drain.

Pit bull turned in: Elmira St. SE, 600 block, July 16. A 6-month-old pit bull mix was impounded.

Fox makes goal: Broad Branch Terr. NW, 3200 block, July 17. A fox was removed from netting of a soccer goal.

Adoptable cat: A 2-year-old hound mix was taken to the shelter in March.

Whippet given up: Arlington, N. Utah St., 1000 block, July 9. A woman relinquished an 8-year-old whippet mix.

A birth day is coming: Mount Rainier, Russell Ave., 4100 block, July 13. A pregnant woman relinquished a 4-month-old kitten.
