ROBBERIES

Bladensburg Rd., 900 block, 1:10 a.m. Oct. 20. A female snatched cash from the hand of a pedestrian as he was walking toward a cab.

Bladensburg Rd., 2100 block, 9:37 a.m. Oct. 18. A man robbed a bank after passing a threatening note.

Bladensburg Rd., 2800 block, 8:36 p.m. Oct. 19. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed him property at knifepoint.

C St., 1500 block, 7:56 p.m. Oct. 19. Two men forced a motorist from a vehicle at gunpoint, then robbed him of his wallet and a cellphone and drove away in the vehicle. Police pursued the vehicle, which was abandoned after a crash in the 600 block of 15th Street NE. After a brief foot chase, two men were arrested on carjacking and strong-arm robbery charges.

E St., 300 block, 10:10 p.m. Oct. 19. A man wearing a mask came out of an alley and robbed four pedestrians at gunpoint.

Eckington Pl., 1600 block, 8:57 p.m. Oct. 18. Two males attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then fled with his wallet. No serious injuries were reported.

Edgewood St., 700 block, 11:15 p.m. Oct. 18 to 12:15 a.m. Oct. 19. Two male teenagers stopped a bicyclist and forced him from the bike at gunpoint. They robbed him of a wallet, a backpack and the bike.

H St., 600 block, 12:55 p.m. Oct. 23. A gunman robbed a convenience store of cash from the register and from an office in the back of the store.

K St., 1000 block, 5:28 a.m. Oct. 20. Three males robbed a male pedestrian of property at gunpoint.

Maryland Ave., 1300 block, 6:50 p.m. Oct. 21. Two males threatened and robbed a male pedestrian.

Neal St., 1500 block, 8:25 a.m. Oct. 23. Two males approached a pedestrian from behind and demanded his shoes. When he resisted, they forced him to the ground and removed the shoes.

Polk St., 4600 block, 1:54 p.m. Oct. 21. Three people robbed a pedestrian of a backpack, an iPad, a cellphone and a wallet at knifepoint.

Rhode Island Ave., 600 block, 3:06 p.m. Oct. 20. Two males walking on a bike trail approached a man working on a bicycle, then robbed him of the bike and a cellphone at gunpoint.

Rhode Island Ave., 800 block, 8:39 p.m. Oct. 19. Two pedestrians approached a bicyclist at the entrance to a bike trail, knocked her from the bike and robbed her of a laptop computer, a fanny pack and the bike. No serious injuries were reported.

Rhode Island Ave., 900 block, 4:20 a.m. Oct. 20. Two males got off bicycles and threatened and robbed a man in the parking lot of a store. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a wrist injury.

Fourth St., 1200 block, 11:40 a.m. Oct. 19. During a dispute about a work-related matter, a man threatened an acquaintance and robbed him of cash.

11th St., 300 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 18. A male teenager approached a pedestrian from behind, then threatened and robbed him.

12th and Quincy streets, 12:41 a.m. Oct. 20. Two males, one of whom implied that he had a weapon, robbed a pedestrian of a cellphone and fled on foot. Two males were arrested nearby.

13th Pl., 4400 block, 1:58 a.m. Oct. 23. Two men wearing ski masks robbed a man making a food delivery of cash and his vehicle at gunpoint. The vehicle was recovered in an alley in the 4400 block of South Dakota Avenue NE.

34th St., 300 block, 11 a.m. Oct. 23. A man snatched a wallet from the hand of a woman waiting at a bus stop.

45th and Blaine streets, 12:20 a.m. Oct. 18. Two teenagers, one male and one female, robbed a pedestrian of his wallet at gunpoint.

45th St., 1100 block, 8:45 a.m. Oct. 19. A man got off of a bicycle and threatened a pedestrian, then fled with his jacket, cash and a transit fare card.

60th and Dix streets, 11 p.m. Oct. 22. In two separate incidents within a block of each other, males got out of a vehicle and snatched property from female pedestrians.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Benning Rd., 4200 block, 12:10 to 1 a.m. Oct. 23. Cash and cigarettes were among property stolen from a convenience store entered by forcing a rear door.

Channing St., 14600 block, 1:19 a.m. Oct. 21. A wallet was stolen from an occupied residence entered through a kitchen window. A male was seen fleeing the premises.

F St., 300 block, 6:32 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing security bars and breaking a basement window.

Monroe St., 1300 block, 2:35 p.m. Oct. 20. A gray 1999 Cadillac Deville was stolen from the garage of an occupied residence entered by breaking a window.

Otis St., 1500 block, 1:59 p.m. Oct. 20. A residence was entered through a rear window. Nothing was reported stolen.

Queens Chapel Rd., 2600 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 20 to 5 a.m. Oct. 21. Property was stolen from an occupied residence entered through a front window.

Riggs Rd., 10 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by kicking in the front door.

Summit Pl., 2000 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 19. A man broke into an occupied residence, then fled empty-handed when confronted.

Second St., 2500 block, 5:44 p.m. Oct. 22. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass near a back door.

Bates St., 100 block, 9:57 p.m. Oct. 18. A man came out of an alley and snatched a cellphone from a female pedestrian’s hand.

Connecticut Ave., 1800 block, 4 a.m. Oct. 21. A male knocked a pedestrian to the ground and robbed him of a cellphone, a wallet and keys. The victim had minor injuries.

Connecticut Ave., 2600 block, 2:26 a.m. Oct. 21. A group of six men threatened a man at an ATM and robbed him of cash. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Emerson St., 900 block, 11:33 a.m. Oct. 19. Two men forced a person into a residence at gunpoint, then robbed two of its occupants of property from their pockets.

Fairmont St., 700 block, 3 a.m. Oct. 20. Two men robbed a group of three pedestrians of cellphones and cash at gunpoint.

Florida Ave., 600 block, 12:26 a.m. Oct. 19. A male teenager approached a pedestrian from behind and tried to take a wallet from his pocket, then fled empty-handed.

Fort Stevens Dr., 1300 block, 5:45 p.m. Oct. 19. A man threatened an acquaintance in a residence and robbed him of cash.

G St., 1300 block, 6:43 p.m. Oct. 23. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched her purse. The assailant dropped the purse during a brief foot chase by passersby. Nothing was reported missing.

Gresham Pl., 500 block, 11:46 p.m. Oct. 19. Two males, one armed with a gun, robbed a male who had just made a pizza delivery to a school.

Holmead Pl., 3300 block, 11:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Two men wearing masks approached a motorist parked near a residence, then robbed him of property at gunpoint.

K St., 1400 block, 5:50 p.m. Oct. 21. A group of men threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property, then fled in a white two-door vehicle.

Longfellow St., 700 block, 8:08 p.m. Oct. 21. Two male teenagers forced a motorist from her vehicle at gunpoint and robbed her of cash and keys. The assailants fled in the vehicle.

M St., unit block, 2:10 a.m. Oct. 20. A man robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

M St., 2900 block, 6:41 p.m. Oct. 18. A man using an ATM was approached from behind and threatened with a weapon, then robbed of cash and his wallet.

Missouri Ave., 1300 block, 11 p.m. Sept. 3. A person engaged a pedestrian in conversation, then snatched property from her hand and ran away.

P St., unit block, 8:45 p.m. Oct. 18. Two males threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone and cash.

Quincy St., 800 block, 9:27 p.m. Oct. 21. A group of males riding bicycles threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a cellphone.

R St., 1300 block, 2:27 a.m. Oct. 21. A group of males threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone and a wallet.

S St., 100 block, 4:30 a.m. Oct. 21. A male threw a pumpkin at a vehicle, then fled with an accomplice. When the motorist and a companion confronted them a short time later in the 100 block of North Capitol Street, they were robbed at gunpoint.

Sheridan St., 1400 block, 9:35 a.m. Oct. 22. A man approached a pedestrian from behind, then snatched a purse from her shoulder.

T St., 500 block, 4:50 a.m. Oct. 20. Three males robbed a group of five pedestrians at gunpoint, then fled in a dark-colored Nissan.

Taylor St., 1300 block, 6:30 a.m. Oct. 19. A person attacked a female sitting on the front porch of a residence and robbed her of a cellphone. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries to her face and torso.

Tewkesbury Pl., 1300 block, 3:57 p.m. Oct. 21. A man robbed a male pedestrian at knifepoint.

Tuckerman St., 1300 block, 10:46 p.m. Oct. 22. A man ordered a bicyclist to the ground at gunpoint, then robbed him of property from his pockets and fled with a male accomplice.

U St., 100 block, 7:59 a.m. Oct. 20. Two people threatened a male at a house party and robbed him of cash and a jacket.

Underwood St., 1200 block, 9:57 p.m. Oct. 18. A man robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, then fled with a male accomplice.

Underwood St., 1200 block, 10:49 a.m. Oct. 21. A group of men robbed a pedestrian of cash from his wallet at gunpoint.

Webster St., 500 block, 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and knocked him to the ground, then fled with property.

Whittier St., unit block, 2:53 a.m. Oct. 23. While he was waiting for a fare, a cab driver was approached by three men and forced from the vehicle at gunpoint, then robbed of cash and other property.

Second St., 2100 block, 2:50 a.m. Oct. 21. A group of males forced several pedestrians to the ground at gunpoint, then fled with property from their pockets.

Fourth St., 2500 block, 12:30 a.m. Oct. 23. Two men threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet and other property.

Seventh St., 400 block, 7:34 p.m. Oct. 21. A male riding a bicycle tried to take a wallet from a pedestrian’s hand, then rode away empty-handed when she resisted. A male teenager matching the description of the assailant was arrested at the corner of Fifth and H streets NW a short time later.

Seventh St., 4100 block, 10:10 a.m. Oct. 22. A man approached a female pedestrian from behind, then snatched her purse from her shoulder.

Ninth St., 2100 block, 12:21 a.m. Oct. 20. A person tried to rob two pedestrians at gunpoint. A police officer witnessed the incident and chased the assailant. An arrest was made.

Ninth St., 4200 block, 4:35 p.m. Oct. 20. During a transaction for a laptop computer still in its delivery box, a man robbed a pedestrian of cash at knifepoint. The victim said that he was threatened with the weapon after he protested that the property was not as described.

Ninth St. and Barry Pl., 8:03 p.m. Oct. 20. Two males robbed a pedestrian of his wallet at gunpoint.

11th St., 3300 block, 11:37 p.m. Oct. 23. A group of people approached a pedestrian, then knocked her to the ground and fled with her purse. The victim was taken to a hospital.

11th St., 3500 block, 11:40 p.m. Oct. 20. A man followed a pedestrian who had just made purchases at a gas station store to his apartment building, then knocked him down and fled with property. The victim was taken to a hospital.

13th St., 3500 block, 8:12 a.m. Oct. 23. A male robbed a male in an apartment hallway of a cellphone and a wallet at knifepoint.

13th St., 5500 block, 6:45 a.m. Oct. 20. Three men robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

13th and Peabody streets,5:35 p.m. Oct. 18. A group of people threatened a pedestrian, then chased him and robbed him of shoes. Three arrests were made in the 1200 block of Missouri Avenue NW. The victim was taken to a hospital.

14th St., 2600 block, 4:20 a.m. Oct. 20. A male threatened a person at a gas station, then robbed him of property from his pockets.

14th and Belmont streets, 3:07 a.m. Oct. 20. A male approached a pedestrian, then snatched her purse.

14th and U streets, 2:28 a.m. Oct. 21. Three males threatened a pedestrian who had approached them in an alley, then robbed her of a purse.

17th St., 4100 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 20. A man robbed a pedestrian of a cellphone and her purse at knifepoint.

18th St. and Columbia Rd., 10 p.m. Oct. 20. A male grabbed a laptop computer from a seat at a table in a fast-food restaurant, then ran from the premises.

20th and Belmont streets, 5:36 a.m. Oct. 20. A male sprayed chemical spray at a group of pedestrians, then grabbed a purse and fled with male accomplices.

21st St., 1100 block, 8:33 p.m. Oct. 19. A man robbed a parking lot attendant of cash at gunpoint.

24th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., 12:08 a.m. Oct. 21. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then snatched a cellphone from her hand. Based on a witness description, a man was arrested in the 2300 block of Washington Circle a short time later.

Adams St., 100 block, 4:08 p.m. Oct. 22. Property was stolen from a dorm room entered using a key that had been obtained in a robbery.

Alton Pl., 3700 block, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered through the unlocked basement door.

Belmont Rd., 2000 block, Oct. 13 to Oct. 22. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing an air-conditioner from a window.

Columbia Rd., 1700 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to 10 a.m. Oct. 19. An attempt was made to enter an office building by forcing a rear door. Nothing was reported missing.

E St., unit block, 5:45 a.m. Oct. 20. Property was stolen from an occupied guest room at a motel.

French St., 900 block, 5:57 p.m. Oct. 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

17th St., 1000 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from an office suite. There was no sign of forced entry.

28th St., 2800 block, 6:58 p.m. Oct. 22. Property was stolen from a residence entered by cutting a window screen.

30th St., 1100 block, 2:40 to 7:53 a.m. Oct. 23. Property was stolen from several offices entered by force.

HOMICIDES

27th St., 1700 block, 1:33 a.m. Oct. 22. Robert Maurice Lesueur, 23, of the District, was found on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case.

ROBBERIES

Alabama Ave., 2500 block, 1:45 p.m. Oct. 19. A youth snatched a purse from a female pedestrian. A motorist followed him to the 2400 block of Ainger Place SE, where an arrest was made.

Alabama Ave., 2800 block, 10:38 a.m. Oct. 22. A man approached a pedestrian from behind, then robbed him of a deposit bag at gunpoint.

Alabama Ave., 4100 block, 8 a.m. Oct. 19. A person threatened a motorist getting out of a vehicle in a parking lot, then fled with her purse.

Benning Rd., 4500 block, 3:22 a.m. Oct. 21. A group of people attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then fled with property. The victim received a minor injury to his forearm.

Falls Terr., 4400 block, 9:20 p.m. Oct. 20. Four men approached a male near a school in the 4800 block of Benning Road SE, then chased him and robbed him of property.

Minnesota Ave. and Ridge Rd., 9 p.m. Oct. 20. Three people robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Minnesota Ave., 3560 block, 10:06 p.m. Oct. 22. A male robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint.

Naylor Rd., 2700 block, between 11:48 p.m. Oct. 20. Two males approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched her purse.

Pennsylvania Ave., 2300 block, 10:28 a.m. Oct. 23. A male snatched a cellphone from a female pedestrian’s hand, then fled in a Chevrolet Suburban.

Savannah St., 1500 block, 10:43 to 10:50 a.m. Oct. 18. Two men robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Shipley Terr., 2800 block, 8:02 p.m. Oct. 23. A male teenager followed a pedestrian for a short distance, then robbed him of a bag and cellphone at gunpoint.

Southern Ave., 2500 block, 11:50 p.m. Oct. 19. Two people approached a pedestrian from behind, then threatened and robbed him.

Southern Ave. and Valley Terr., 9:11 p.m. Oct. 21. Three men near a Metro station robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Wahler Pl., 1000 block, 3:54 a.m. Oct. 20. Two people approached a man standing in front of a residence and forced him to the ground at gunpoint, then fled with a cellphone and a shoe.

Second St., 2800 block, 9:10 a.m. Oct. 21. A man entered a residence, then robbed a female occupant of property at knifepoint.

Fifth St. and Alabama Ave., 1:40 p.m. Oct. 23. A male who implied that he had a weapon robbed a male pedestrian of property, then fled on a bicycle.

Seventh St., 4200 block, 5:36 p.m. Oct. 21. Three people forced their way into a residence at gunpoint, then fled with a tablet computer, two cellphones and cash. The intruders sprayed a chemical inside the residence during the incident. No injuries were reported.

18th St., 200 block, 3:28 p.m. Oct. 18. Two male teenagers wearing ski masks robbed a pedestrian of his shoes at gunpoint.

18th and Erie streets, 3 p.m. Oct. 19. Two people robbed a pedestrian of cash and his shoes at gunpoint.

37th St., 300 block, 5:06 p.m. Oct. 18. Two people robbed a pedestrian of his shoes at gunpoint.

G St., 4400 block, 3:41 p.m. Oct. 18. Two TVs were moved to a balcony from an apartment entered through an unlocked window. An intruder was seen leaving the premises empty-handed.

Maple View Pl., 1200 block, 6:58 a.m. Oct. 23. Glass was broken in a door to a building accessed by forcing a front gate. Nothing was reported missing.

Marjorie Ct., 800 block, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a back door.

Nelson Pl., 2900 block, 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Oct. 19. An apartment was entered by breaking a bedroom window. A flat-screen TV was recovered outside the building. Nothing else was reported missing.

Carrollsburg Pl., 1200 block, 3:44 p.m. Oct. 22. Two men threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone.

Danbury St., 100 block, 8:23 p.m. Oct. 22. A man got out of a gold Hyundai Sonata doubled-parked near a residence and approached a motorist taking groceries from the trunk of a vehicle. He robbed him of cash and keys at gunpoint and drove away in the victim’s vehicle.
