Northeast
ROBBERIES

Blaine St., 3900 block, 2:08 p.m. Jan. 27. A man robbed a male pedestrian of cash at gunpoint.

D St., 1800 block, 10:18 a.m. Jan. 24. A male robbed a convenience store of cash from the cash register and elsewhere in the store at gunpoint, then fled with a male accomplice who had acted as a lookout.

Florida Ave., 1300 block, 11:11 p.m. Jan. 24. Three people forced their way into a service station during a shift change, then threatened employees and fled with cash. One arrest was made a short time later.

Maryland Ave., 1500 block, 7:41 p.m. Jan. 26. Two males forced a motorist from a vehicle at gunpoint, then fled in the vehicle.

Minnesota Ave., 3800 block, 4:49 p.m. Jan. 28. A group of male teenagers attacked a teenager and robbed him of a cellphone. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a head wound.

Minnesota Ave., 3800 block, 11:35 p.m. Jan. 28. A woman who approached a group of males in an attempt to make a street purchase of illegal drugs was robbed of cash from her hand.

Minnesota Ave., 3800 block, 8:48 p.m. Jan. 25. Two males robbed a man using an ATM at gunpoint.

Mount Olivet Rd., 1200 block, 9:58 p.m. Jan. 29. A group of male teenagers threatened a man near a convenience store and robbed him of cash and a pack of cigarettes.

Newton St., 1800 block, 11:07 p.m. Jan. 25. Three men wearing ski masks forced a food deliveryman from a vehicle at gunpoint, then robbed him of cash and took property from the vehicle.

Olive St., 1600 block, 2:45 p.m. Jan. 25. Two men approached a pedestrian walking near a Metro station and demanded his headphones. After a brief struggle, the men fled empty-handed. No injuries were reported.

Ord St., 4400 block, 9 a.m. Jan. 25. A male tried to rob a pedestrian of her purse at gunpoint, then fled empty-handed when confronted by an occupant of a nearby residence.

Queens Chapel Rd., 2100 block, 3:30 a.m. Jan. 20. A man who said that he was not involved in a fight outside a night club but was taking pictures of the incident with a cellphone was struck in the face and robbed of the phone and his wallet. A credit card from the wallet was used to make unauthorized purchases.

Queens Chapel Rd., 2100 block, 3:50 a.m. Jan. 27. A male forced a male motorist from a vehicle at gunpoint, then drove away in it.

Rhode Island Ave., 900 block, 2 p.m. Jan. 25. Two people forced their way into a vehicle at gunpoint, then forced the motorist to withdraw cash from a nearby bank. They then forced her to drive them to a branch of the same bank in Greenbelt, where they forced her to withdraw money from an ATM. They fled on foot.

Rhode Island Ave., 1900 block, 4:29 a.m. Jan. 25. Two males robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. A customer in the store also was robbed.

Sheriff Rd., 4300 block, 9:28 a.m. Jan. 27. Three males wearing ski masks demanded cash from a person in a laundromat at gunpoint. The victim surrendered coins, which were refused. The males tried to break into an office, then fled empty-handed.

Eighth St., 400 block, 10:50 p.m. Jan. 25. Two males wearing masks robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, then fled in a vehicle driven by an accomplice. The vehicle was located after it was involved in a crash in the unit block of L Street NE. After a brief foot chase, a person who had fled from the vehicle was arrested in the 100 block of Pierce St. NW.

34th St., 200 block, 2:02 p.m. Jan. 28. A male robbed pedestrian of his cellphone at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Dix St., 6000 block, 12:30 a.m. Jan. 25. An attempt was made to break into an electrical business. Police responding to the report of a break-in arrested a man after a brief foot chase.

Douglas St., 4400 block, 12:01 to 2:32 p.m. Jan. 26. Property was stolen from a residence.

Evarts St., 400 block, 7:50 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a front window.

Florida Ave., 800 block, 9:45 p.m. Jan. 21. Property was stolen from an occupied dormitory room. There was no sign of forced entry.

Hamlin St., 1500 block, 3:45 a.m. Jan. 25. Property was stolen from an occupied residence. A man fled with the property when confronted.

Hayes St., 3700 block, 4 to 10 p.m. Jan. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing the front door.

Holbrook Terr., 1100 block, 12:41 a.m. Jan. 27. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing a back door.

Hunt St., 5000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry.

I St., 1900 block, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 to 7:15 a.m. Jan. 29. Hand tools were stolen from a location entered by forcing a rear door.

Lawrence St., 1400 block, 3:38 a.m. Jan. 29. A wallet, a checkbook, a cellphone and medication were among property stolen from an occupied residence entered by forcing a front window. Two males fled with the property when confronted.

Lyman Pl., 1700 block, 11:30 a.m. Jan. 28. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

Maryland Ave., 2000 block, 7:32 a.m. to 2:02 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

Michigan Ave., 100 block, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 23. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

Michigan Ave., 600 block, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26. A purse and cash were stolen from a dormitory room entered through an unlocked door.

Morton Pl., 600 block, 2:19 a.m. Jan. 26. A computer was stolen from an occupied apartment entered using a key that had been left in the front door. A male fled with the property when confronted.

Fourth St., 2700 block, 9:45 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a bedroom window.

Eighth St., 1000 block, 3:30 a.m. Jan. 29. Property was stolen from an occupied residence entered through a back door.

21st Pl., 1100 block, 8:45 a.m. to 6:54 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing the front door.

Davenport St., 4500 block, 1:35 a.m. Jan. 27. Three men threatened and robbed a female pedestrian near a Metro station.

Euclid St., 1400 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 29. The driver of a dark-blue truck stopped near a pedestrian and forced her at gunpoint to throw her purse inside the vehicle.

Georgia Ave., 3500 block, 3:07 p.m. Jan. 27. A male in a store snatched property from a female’s hand.

Georgia Ave., 5400 block, 7:20 p.m. Jan. 29. A man approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched a cellphone from her hand.

Georgia Ave., 7100 block, 6:38 p.m. Jan. 24. A male who implied that he had a handgun robbed a pedestrian of her purse and a cellphone.

Georgia Ave., 7400 block, 9:04 a.m. Jan. 24. A male at a bus stop snatched property from a pedestrian’s hand.

Irving St., 1400 block, 7:35 p.m. Jan. 25. A male robbed a male pedestrian of cash at knifepoint.

Kansas Ave. and Webster St., 10:48 a.m. Jan. 28. A man robbed a pedestrian of property at gunpoint.

Kenyon St., 1300 block, 11:18 p.m. Jan. 27. Two people threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet.

Massachusetts Ave., 1100 block, 1 a.m. Jan. 26. A group of males forced their way into a residence at gunpoint, then robbed occupants of a TV, a laptop computer, a cellphone and a wallet.

Newton St., 1400 block, 7:13 p.m. Jan. 26. A man robbed a pedestrian of her purse at knifepoint.

Oneida Pl., 700 block, 2:15 p.m. Jan. 25. A male teenager threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of property.

Shepherd St., 1300 block, 9:42 p.m. Jan. 26. Two men approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed him of a cellphone and other property at knifepoint. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

T St., 200 block, 3:03 p.m. Jan. 24. Three men threatened and robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets.

W St., 100 block, 1:05 p.m. Jan. 28. A man approached a male putting air in a vehicle’s tires in front of a residence, then robbed him at gunpoint.

Wisconsin Ave., 4500 block, 6:15 p.m. Jan. 26. A male teenager snatched a cellphone from a female pedestrian’s hand.

Eighth St., 7500 block, 8:06 p.m. Jan. 25. A man threatened a taxi driver who had taken him to this location, then robbed him of cash.

11th St., 1600 block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 27. Two men demanded cash from a male pedestrian at knifepoint, then fled empty-handed when a police vehicle appeared.

11th St., 2500 block, 1:47 p.m. Jan. 29. A person asked to borrow a cellphone from a person in an office, then fled the premises with the property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

California St., 2300 block, 11:45 a.m. to 1:19 p.m. Jan. 26. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Calvert St., 2300 block, 7:14 p.m. to 7:49 p.m. Jan. 26. Property was stolen from a residence. A man was seen fleeing the premises through a back door.

Florida Ave., 1800 block, 11:15 a.m. Jan. 28. An occupied apartment was entered by breaking a window. A male fled empty-handed when confronted.

Florida Ave., 2000 block, 11 a.m. Jan. 28. A laptop computer and a cellphone were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

L St., 1800 block, 2:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 25. A wallet was stolen from a purse hanging from the back of a chair in a restaurant. A credit card from the wallet was used to make unauthorized purchases at a gas station.

N St., 1700 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 25 to 8 a.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from an office entered by breaking a window to a fire escape.

N St., 1800 block, 8 to 8:15 a.m. Jan. 29. Property was stolen from an office entered by forcing a door.

Partridge Lane, 5200 block, 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Jan. 27. A residence was entered by forcing a basement door. Nothing was reported missing.

R St., 500 block, 12:30 p.m. Jan. 29. A backpack containing a camera was stolen from an occupied residence entered by forcing a back door. A neighbor saw the intruder leaving the home and alerted police. An arrest was made.

Webster St., 400 block, 8 a.m. Jan. 23 to 1:49 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a basement door.

Third Pl., 4700 block, 9:53 a.m. Jan. 25. An occupied apartment was entered through an unlocked door. The intruder fled empty-handed when confronted.

Ninth St., 1800 block, 3:47 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

19th St., 1200 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 27 to 1:56 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a parking-facility office entered by breaking a window.

19th St., 1700 block, 10:30 a.m. to 2:24 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a back door.

23rd St., 600 block, 2:06 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a dormitory room. An arrest was made.

35th St., 1600 block, 9:14 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

ROBBERIES

A St., 4400 block, 11:47 p.m. Jan. 27. Four males followed a man from a Metro station to his residence, then demanded property from him at gunpoint as he neared the front door. He ran inside, and the four assailants fled. All four were arrested a short time later.

Benning Rd., 4800 block, 1 p.m. Jan. 24. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then robbed him of property at gunpoint.

Chesapeake St., 600 block, 4:36 p.m. Jan. 24. A man forced a man in a store into a restroom at gunpoint, then robbed him of property, including keys to a vehicle, then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Condon Terr., 600 block, 11:55 a.m. Jan. 27. Two males approached a man washing a vehicle, then robbed him of property and forced him into a nearby field at gunpoint. They fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Dubois Pl., 4400 block, 8:22 p.m. Jan. 27. Two male teenagers threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property, then fled with an accomplice who had acted as a lookout. One of the assailants was arrested a short time later.

F St., 4800 block, 3:29 p.m. Jan. 28. Two people robbed two pedestrians of a coat and other property at gunpoint.

G St., 5000 block, 9:30 a.m. Jan. 29. A man approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed him of a cellphone from his hand.

Good Hope Rd., 2400 block, 9 p.m. Jan. 27. Three males forced their way into an occupied residence and fled with property. A person injured during the incident received medical treatment at the scene.

Minnesota Ave. and Randle Cir., 8 a.m. Jan. 17. Three male teenagers walking near a school robbed an acquaintance of a cellphone. Three arrests were made that day.

Newcomb St., 400 block, 7:25 p.m. Jan. 29. Four males robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint. During a struggle, the victim was injured. He was taken to a hospital.

Pennsylvania Ave., 600 block, 2:55 a.m. Jan. 25. Three males threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property.

Pennsylvania Ave., 1500 block, 8:45 p.m. Jan. 29. Two males threatened and robbed a pedestrian. The victim received medical treatment at the scene.

Raleigh Pl., 600 block, 5:20 p.m. Jan. 27. A male sitting on steps to an apartment building jumped up and stole a cellphone from the hand of a man entering his residence.

Wayne Pl., 100 block, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26. Two males forced a pedestrian into an alley and robbed him at gunpoint.

Eighth St., 3200 block, 10:45 p.m. Jan. 28. A male threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a purse.

52nd and Central Ave., 10:43 a.m. Jan. 25. A male forced a motorist from his vehicle at gunpoint, then fled in the vehicle.

South Carolina Ave., 200 block, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from a basement apartment entered by smashing a window.

South Carolina Ave., 600 block, 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 24. A residence was entered by breaking glass in a back door. A key to that door was stolen. An investigation was ongoing.

Second St., 300 block, 12:10 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from an occupied residence entered through an unlocked back door.

Second St., 300 block, 2:39 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence. Shortly after the incident was reported, an arrest was made nearby.

Third St., 300 block, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28. A computer was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a rear window.

13th St., 700 block, 11:25 a.m. Jan. 25. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

14th St., 1000 block, 5:13 p.m. Jan. 26. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by breaking a bathroom window.

22nd St., 3500 block, 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 24. A laptop computer was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

35th St., 100 block, 6 to 9:20 p.m. Jan. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a living-room window.

Southwest
ROBBERIES

Seventh St., 700 block, 3:42 p.m. Jan. 24. Three teenagers chased a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone. A lookout was broadcast, and three males leaving a recreation center in the 200 block of N Street SW started running when approached by police. One male was detained near that location, and a second male was arrested a short time later in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue SW. An investigation was ongoing.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 4300 block, 6:45 p.m. Jan. 29. Property was stolen from a residence entered by kicking in the front door.

Sixth St., 900 block, 1:21 p.m. Jan. 28. Several bottles of water were stolen from a kitchen in an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry.
