Northeast
ROBBERIES

Benning Rd., 1800 block, 6:35 p.m. Feb. 20. A man stopped his vehicle near a pedestrian, then got out and robbed her of property from her jacket at gunpoint.

Burns St., unit block, 4:30 p.m. Feb. 20. A man robbed two pedestrians of a cellphone at knifepoint. One of the victims, who was in a wheelchair, was taken to a hospital for treatment of a cut to a leg.

Capitol Ave., 1700 block, 6:19 p.m. Feb. 19. Three males robbed a bicyclist of a cellphone at gunpoint. Based on the victim’s descriptions, three male teenagers were arrested a short time later in a residence in the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue NE. A pellet gun was recovered.

Dix St., 3900 block, 8:28 p.m. Feb. 14. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then snatched property from her pocket and fled with three accomplices.

Edgewood St., 600 block, 1:56 a.m. Feb. 16. Three males threatened and robbed a male of a wallet and a cellphone. Three male teenagers were arrested nearby a short time later.

F St., 600 block, 10:10 p.m. Feb. 20. Two males attacked a pedestrian and demanded property, then fled empty-handed. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of lacerations.

G St., 1400 block, 10:05 a.m. Feb. 19. A man approached a pedestrian from behind and demanded property from her at knifepoint, then fled empty-handed when a passerby intervened.

Jay St., 5200 block, 1:55 p.m. Feb. 20. Two females threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet, then fled to a waiting truck.

Meade St., 4800 block, 8:57 p.m. Feb. 19. Two people threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a purse.

Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 4600 block, 6:17 p.m. Feb. 18. Four people came out from under a bridge and threatened three pedestrians, then fled with a pair of shoes.

Otis St., 1000 block, 6:12 p.m. 6:12 p.m. Feb. 15. Two males demanded property from a male pedestrian at knifepoint, then fled empty-handed.

Queen St. and Trinidad Ave., 3:13 p.m. Feb. 15. A man approached an acquaintance on the street, then robbed her of a cellphone at knifepoint. An investigation was ongoing.

Rhode Island Ave., 400 block, 2:05 p.m. Feb. 18. Two people walked into a fast-food restaurant, then robbed a customer sitting at a table of his backpack and a cellphone

Rhode Island Ave., 500 block, 11:55 p.m. Feb. 15. Five female teenagers threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a bag.

Rhode Island Ave., 1600 block, 9:15 a.m. Feb. 17. A man came up behind a man as he was about to open a business for the day, then robbed him of cash at gunpoint.

West Virginia Ave., 1400 block, 1:20 to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Three men entered a residence through an unlocked door and threatened people doing work there at gunpoint. The victims ran away. No injuries were reported.

West Virginia Ave., 1600 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 19. Three males robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

18th St., 1200 block, 10:25 a.m. Feb. 15. Two males robbed a pedestrian of her wallet and keys at gunpoint.

18th St., 3100 block, 11:16 p.m. Feb. 18. Two people robbed a person making a food delivery of cash and food at gunpoint.

19th St., 900 block, 9 a.m. Feb. 14. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed him of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

45th and Meade streets, 8:32 a.m. Jan. 18. Two people robbed a pedestrian of his cellphone at gunpoint.

49th St., 1000 block, 7:16 a.m. Feb. 14. A person pushed aside a woman unloading packages from a vehicle, then drove away in the vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ames St., 3500 block, 9:17 p.m. Feb. 21. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a window. When returning occupants confronted a man near the window, he ran away. Property taken from the premises was recovered at the scene.

Florida Ave., 1000 block, 5:45 to 9:45 p.m. Feb. 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

Hamlin St., 600 block, 6:40 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. Feb. 20. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing patio door. An occupant said that this was the second break-in there in the past month.

Hunt St., 5000 block, 8:30 to 10:49 a.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from an apartment entered through an unlocked rear window.

Kenilworth Ave., 1300 block, 8:45 to 10:50 p.m. Feb. 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage door.

Maryland Ave., 1200 block, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 13 to 4:45 a.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a garage entered by forcing a door lock.

Newton St., 1200 block, 8:40 to 8:50 a.m. Feb. 17. Property was stolen from an occupied residence entered by forcing the front door.

R St., unit block, 8:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a kitchen window.

Sheriff Rd., 4800 block, 1 to 6:15 p.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing an air-conditioning unit from a front window.

U St., unit block, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 18 to 5 p.m. Feb. 19. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

West Virginia Ave., 2000 block, 11:29 a.m. Feb. 20. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

57th St., 400 block, 4:15 to 8:36 p.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

60th St., 200 block, 9:18 to 9:28 p.m. Feb. 14. An occupied residence was entered through a living-room window. An electronic security system was tampered with, but nothing was reported missing.

Gallatin St., unit block, 11:37 p.m. Feb. 18. A man robbed a pedestrian of her purse and a cellphone at gunpoint.

Gallatin St., 900 block, 1:42 p.m. Feb. 20. A person snatched a purse from a person in a hallway.

Georgia Ave., 3600 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 17. Three people threatened and robbed a pedestrian.

Georgia Ave., 4200 block, 7:12 p.m. Feb. 19. A male demanded property from a male riding a bicycle. The bicyclist resisted and rode away.

Georgia Ave. and W St., 3:14 p.m. Feb. 19. Three people threatened and robbed a male student walking near a school. Two arrests were made.

Holmead Pl., 3400 block, 1:45 a.m. Feb. 17. A male robbed a pedestrian of his wallet and a cellphone at knifepoint, then fled with an accomplice.

Meridian Pl., 1400 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 19. A male armed with a knife threatened a man near an apartment-building entrance and robbed him of rings.

Mount Pleasant St., 3300 block, 6:44 p.m. Feb. 16. A person on a bicycle stopped near a person sitting in front of a location and robbed her of a cellphone from her hand.

Newton Pl., 600 block, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16. A person approached a pedestrian from behind, then knocked him to the ground and robbed him of a wallet. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

P St., 300 block, 7:37 p.m. Feb. 19. Two males robbed a cash register and lottery-ticket machine at a convenience store at gunpoint.

Shepherd St., 900 block, 1 a.m. Feb. 17. A person approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched property from her shoulder.

Eighth St., 5300 block, 7 a.m. Feb. 17. A man robbed a person in an apartment-building hallway at gunpoint.

14th St., 3000 block, 6:50 p.m. Feb. 20. Two females threatened and robbed a pedestrian of property from her pockets.

14th St., 3400 block, 4:46 a.m. Feb. 18. A person armed with a knife demanded money from a pedestrian. After a brief struggle, the assailant fled empty-handed to a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

15th St. and Columbia Rd., 5:39 a.m. Feb. 19. Two people threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Jefferson St.,900 block, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a patio door.

K St., 1600 block, 10:31 a.m. Feb. 18. Property was stolen from an office. There was no sign of forced entry.

Kennedy St., 300 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 13 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window. During the incident, a gas line was ruptured.

Monroe St., 1400 block, 4:34 p.m. Feb. 19. A male acting suspiciously in an apartment stairwell was questioned and released. The person, an acquaintance of a resident of the building, was a suspect in a Feb. 17 theft of a computer from an apartment.

New Hampshire Ave., 4900 block, 8:06 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by kicking in the front door.

New York Ave., 900 block, 2 p.m. Feb. 15 to 11:40 a.m. Feb. 18. Property was stolen from a location entered by breaking through a fence.

Otis Pl., 600 block, Feb. 3 to Feb. 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a kitchen window.

R St.,1700 block, 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Feb. 21. Property was stolen from a location entered by removing an air-conditioning unit from a window.

Upshur St., 1300 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 16 to 1:30 a.m. Feb. 17. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Second St., 200 block, 5 a.m. Feb. 17 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Cash and several bottles of liquor were stolen from a restaurant entered by using a ladder to access a second-story window.

Third St., 5500 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 18 to 6:25 a.m. Feb. 19. A day-care center was entered by removing an air-conditioner. Property was moved around, but nothing was reported missing.

Seventh St., 4800 block, 5:16 a.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a location entered through a basement window.

10th St., 3500 block, 7 a.m. Feb. 13 to 12:01 a.m. Feb. 14. A residence was entered by breaking a rear window. Nothing was reported missing.

14th St., 2200 block, 2:40 a.m. Feb. 14. Property was stolen from a business entered by forcing a rear door.

17th St., 4300 block, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 19. Property was stolen form a location entered by forcing a side door.

Benning Rd., 4500 block, 9:04 p.m. Feb. 14. Two males threatened a person coming out of a restaurant and robbed her of property from her hand, then fled in a vehicle.

Burns St., 600 block, 12:09 a.m. Feb. 18. Three males followed a male off a bus and robbed him at gunpoint of cash and a cellphone.

C St. and Minnesota Ave., 9:40 p.m. Feb. 15. Two males followed a male off a bus and robbed him at gunpoint.

Chaplin St., 4300 block, 1:50 p.m. Feb. 15. Three males wearing ski masks threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property.

Douglass Rd., 2600 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 14. Two people approached a pedestrian from behind, then destroyed her cellphone and robbed her of property.

East Capitol St. and Texas Ave., 3:30 p.m. Feb. 18. A male robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint, then fled with two accomplices.

Hartford St., 2400 block, 4:08 p.m. Feb. 21. Two males threatened and robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets. Based on the victim’s description, an arrest was made at 4:52 p.m. in the 2900 block of Knox Place SE.

Howard Rd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 9 p.m. Feb. 21. Two people threatened a pedestrian near a bus stop and robbed her of a jacket and a cellphone.

Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 2400 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 16. A male threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of food he had just purchased and property from his pockets.

Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 3100 block, 3:50 a.m. Feb. 15. Two people threatened and robbed a pedestrian of his backpack.

Ridgecrest Ct., 2000 block, 11:20 a.m. Feb. 16. A man robbed two people in an apartment-building hallway of a purse and other property at gunpoint.

Savannah St., 200 block, 3:12 p.m. Feb. 18. Two males robbed a male pedestrian of property at gunpoint. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Savannah St., 1800 block, 1:15 p.m. Feb. 18. A man got out of a vehicle and followed a woman into an apartment building, then threatened her and robbed her of property from a purse.

Stanton Rd., 3500 block, 8:50 p.m. Feb. 14. Two males threatened a man inside an acquaintance’s residence, then fled with two laptop computers. The victim was taken to a hospital.

Stevens Rd., 1300 block, 5:32 p.m. Feb. 14. A male who implied that he was armed with a weapon robbed a pedestrian of cash from his wallet. Based on the victim’s description, an arrest was made a short time later in the 1300 block of Stevens Road NE.

Varney St., 900 block, 3 p.m. Feb. 21. Two males robbed a female pedestrian of property at gunpoint.

Fourth St., 4100 block, 9:45 p.m. Feb. 14. A male pedestrian was attacked from behind and robbed of property. The victim was taken to a hospital.

23rd St. and Minnesota Ave., 4:41 p.m. Feb. 19. Four people threatened a person who had just left a store and robbed her of property.

28th St., 2800 block, 12:18 a.m. Feb. 20. Three males robbed two pedestrians at gunpoint.
