ROBBERIES

Brentwood Rd., 1200 block, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 22. A group of male teenagers attacked a man and robbed him of a cellphone. He was taken to a hospital. Police said that earlier in the evening the same group had threatened people inside a convenience store and fled with merchandise.

Brooks St., 4400 block, 10:40 p.m. Feb. 24. A person approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed her of a purse.

Burns St., 60 block, 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21. A man robbed a person in a wheelchair at knifepoint. A passerby who tried to call police also was threatened and robbed. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for a leg wound.

Grant St., 4000 block, 5:10 p.m. Feb. 25. A group of people approached a man and robbed him of a cellphone at gunpoint.

Hayes St., 5200 block, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 22. Two people approached a man standing in front of a residence, then threatened him and demanded property. After going through his pockets, they fled empty-handed.

Jay St., 4900 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 26. Two people at a bus stop robbed a male and a female of cellphones and cash at gunpoint, then fled in a vehicle.

Madison St., 500 block, 9:50 a.m. Feb. 25. Two males wearing ski masks robbed a pedestrian of his cellphone at gunpoint.

Minnesota Ave., 4000 block, 9:27 p.m. Feb. 24. A woman was threatened by two acquaintances and robbed of a cellphone.

Fourth St., 2200 block, 7:14 p.m. Feb. 27. A person approached the owner of a business and, after a struggle, robbed her of a purse, which contained the day’s receipts.

Fourth and Hamilton streets, 10:20 p.m. Feb. 23. Three people robbed a pedestrian of his wallet, headphones and a hat at gunpoint.

17th Pl., 200 block, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Two people threatened a man and demanded property, then fled empty-handed.

19th St., 300 block, 2:30 a.m. Feb. 23. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and groped her, then snatched her purse and fled to a vehicle driven by an accomplice.

24th St., 700 block, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 26. A man forced his way into an acquaintance’s apartment at gunpoint, then fled with a purse.

55th St., 300 block, 8 p.m. Feb. 24. Two people robbed a pedestrian of his book bag at gunpoint.

55th St. and Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 9:02 p.m. Feb. 22. A man approached a pedestrian from behind and tried to steal his cellphone. After a brief struggle, he fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Banks Pl., 5000 block, 6 a.m. Feb. 24. A business was entered through a second-story window. Property on the premises was destroyed, but nothing was reported missing.

Delafield St., 800 block, 7:15 a.m. to noon Feb. 22. An iPod, cash and a savings bond were stolen from a residence entered through a window.

E St., 800 block, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a bathroom window.

Faraday Pl., 1200 block, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23. A laptop computer, a flat- screen TV and gold coins were stolen from a residence entered through a side window.

Florida Ave., 800 block, 4:50 to 7 a.m. Feb. 24. Two males entered a dorm room using a key, then threatened occupants and photographed their identification cards.

Florida Ave., 1000 block, 5:45 to 9:15 p.m. Feb. 21. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a basement door.

Foote St., 4700 block, 9:22 p.m. Feb. 25. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing an air-conditioner from a window.

Hayes St., 3500 block, 6:20 to 10:32 a.m. Feb. 27. A TV and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Montello Ave., 1300 block, 9:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 4900 block, 10:04 a.m. Feb. 24. An office was entered by removing an air-conditioner from a window. A key was among property stolen from the office, and it was used to steal a vehicle in a nearby parking lot.

Taussig Pl., 100 block, 2 to 6:35 a.m. Feb. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a basement door. A returning occupant was attacked by three intruders, who fled with the property. No serious injuries were reported.

V St., 100 block, 6:43 p.m. Feb. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.

Third and Hamilton streets, 8:39 a.m. to 5:49 p.m. Feb. 26. Property was stolen from a location entered through a sliding-glass door.

14th St., 500 block, 7 p.m. Feb. 25 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement door.

HOMICIDES

Ninth St.,1900 block, 1:18 a.m. Feb. 23. Joseph Hardin, 30, of Alexandria, was found on the ground outside a nightclub with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A 24-year-old man whom witnesses said he had been arguing with was arrested.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

Irving St., 10:23 p.m. Feb. 27. A man sexually assaulted a pedestrian near a dormitory building on a college campus.

ROBBERIES

Adams Mill Rd., 2800 block, 9:55 p.m. Feb. 23. A person attacked a pedestrian from behind and robbed him. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries to his face.

Blair Rd., 5900 block, 8:26 p.m. Feb. 25. A group of people near an ATM robbed a woman of a cellphone and other property at gunpoint.

Chapin St., 1400 block, 9:19 p.m. Feb. 25. A person pushed a pedestrian against a fence, then robbed him of a wallet.

Connecticut Ave. and M St., 9:55 p.m. Feb. 25. A male attacked an acquaintance and robbed him of a cellphone and other property. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of an injury sustained when he was struck on the head by a bottle.

Dupont Cir., unit block, 8:35 p.m. Feb. 27. During an argument, a man was threatened by an acquaintance and robbed of a cellphone and a wallet.

Georgia Ave. and Quincy St., 1:10 p.m. Feb. 26. Two people attacked and robbed a pedestrian. Based on a witness report, two males were arrested a short time later in the 3700 block of Eighth Street NW. The victim was taken to a hospital.

Georgia Ave., 4300 block, 4:02 a.m. Feb. 24. Two people got out of a vehicle that had forced a motorist in another vehicle to crash into a parked vehicle, then demanded property from the motorist at gunpoint, then struck him once with a weapon and fled empty-handed. The victim was taken to a hospital.

Georgia Ave., 6400 block, 5:22 p.m. Feb. 26. Two men threatened a man carrying a bank-deposit bag. The victim locked the bag in the trunk of a vehicle, then fled to the middle of the street. After a brief try at breaking into the vehicle, the assailants fled empty-handed.

Indiana Ave., 500 block, 2 p.m. Feb. 26. A male teenager at a high school was arrested on an outstanding warrant for armed robbery.

Ingraham St., unit block, 1 a.m. Feb. 23. A person threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone and headphones, then fled with two accomplices.

Longfellow St., 900 block, 8:36 p.m. Feb. 22. A person threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a purse, then fled to a dark-blue Ford Crown Victoria parked in a nearby alley.

New Hampshire Ave., 800 block, 3:53 p.m. Feb. 24. Two people threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a cellphone.

U St., 1400 block, 5:49 p.m. Feb. 24. A person approached a female pedestrian from behind and snatched a cellphone from her hand.

W St., 100 block, 6:32 p.m. Feb. 26. A man forced a female from a 2001 Honda Civic at gunpoint, then drove away in the vehicle.

Fifth St., 1300 block, 12:02 a.m. Feb. 24. A male attacked a pedestrian and robbed her of a cellphone, then fled with six accomplices. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of cuts and bruises.

Sixth and F streets, 9:45 p.m. Feb. 22. A man approached a pedestrian using a cellphone and demanded property at gunpoint, then fled empty-handed.

Ninth St. and New York Ave., 7:40 p.m. Feb. 25. A person approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched her cellphone.

11th and Girard streets, 2500 block, 1:30 a.m. Feb. 25. Two people threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone.

12th St., 1800 block, 3:48 a.m. Feb. 23. A male approached two people sitting in a vehicle and robbed them of cellphones at gunpoint.

12th St., 1900 block, 11:41 p.m. Feb. 25. A person in an alley approached a woman who had just parked a vehicle and robbed her of a purse at gunpoint.

14th St. and Parkwood Pl., 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 to 2 a.m. Feb. 26. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then pressed a hard object against her back, groped her and robbed her of property.

16th St., 3600 block, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 27. A person approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched property from his hand.

HOMICIDES

Livingston Terr., 300 block, 2:53 a.m. Feb. 23. Damon Luke Brown, 49, of Loudoun County, was found on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

33rd St., 2600 block, 3:13 a.m. Feb. 17. Samauri Jenkins, 4, was admitted to a hospital in critical condition after she was rescued from a fire at a residence. She died on Feb. 19. Based on an autopsy report, her death was ruled a homicide. A 46-year-old man was arrested Feb. 22. Police said that he had been inside the residence when the fire was started.

C St., 5400 block, 8:34 p.m. Feb. 24. A male threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a purse.

G St., 4900 block, 7:20 p.m. Feb. 27. Four males, all wearing ski masks, threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property from his pockets.

Hartford St., 2400 block, 4:08 p.m. Feb. 21. A male teenager threatened a man and searched his pockets, then walked away. An arrest was made a short time later in the 2900 block of Knox Place SE.

Howard Rd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 9 p.m. Feb. 21. Two people threatened a woman at a bus stop and robbed her of a jacket and a cellphone.

Livingston Rd., 4000 block, 4:50 p.m. Feb. 25. A man approached a motorist getting out of a vehicle and threatened her at gunpoint. She threw her keys to the ground and ran away, and he drove away in the vehicle.

Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 2200 block, 9 a.m. Feb. 25. A gunman robbed a store of cash from a safe.

Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 3100 block, 1:10 p.m. Feb. 22. A person approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched a cellphone from her pocket.

Naylor Rd., 3100 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 25. Two males threatened two pedestrians and robbed them of cash, then fled in a white Chevrolet Impala driven by an accomplice.

Southern Ave., 1300 block, 3:28 a.m. Feb. 24. Four males wearing ski masks threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a laceration.

Stanton Sd., 2600 block, 6:47 p.m. Feb. 26. Two people approached three pedestrians from behind, then threatened and robbed them.

U St., 1600 block, 8 a.m. Feb. 24. A man approached a man and asked for cash. When refused, he knocked the man to the ground and robbed him. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment two days later.

Varney St., 900 block, 3 p.m. Feb. 21. Two people robbed a woman of property at gunpoint.

56th Pl., 100 block, 9:43 p.m. Feb. 24. A man robbed a pedestrian of his jacket and other property at gunpoint.
