D.C. man shot in Pr. George’s dies

A 21-year-old District man shot two weeks ago in Largo, Md., succumbed to his wounds Friday, police said.

Joshua M. Barnes of Sherman Circle in Northwest Washington was sitting with an acquaintance in a vehicle near Prince George’s Community College before 1 a.m. on June 2 when an unknown suspect fired several shots at the car, according to Prince George’s County Police.

Police said they are searching for a motive in the attack, and offer a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925.
