District police are investigating the death of a woman who died after being transported from the 3rd District station on Friday night.
D.C. police said Ukalie Boyd, 42, of Northwest D.C., died at about 8 p.m. at a local hospital.

Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman, said Saturday that internal affairs was investigating the death. He would not provide any further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
