Q.
The monthly tax-free maximum that the federal government and other employers can pay for their employees to use public transit in their commuting fell to $125 this month because Congress failed to extend the $230 level that’s been in effect for the last several years. Will that affect your decision regarding your travels to and from work? How?
Please e-mail your answer to federalworker@washpost.com and include your full name, home town and the agency for which you work. We might include your response in Friday’s Washington Post. When answers are particularly sensitive, we will consider a respondent’s request to withhold full identification.
