The Silver Spring Transit Center’s price tag has increased as building problems emerged. The project was initially a state-funded project, but now the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission as well as county and federal governments are sharing the cost. Concerns over the integrity of the concrete work has led to the most recent delay. However, developer Foulger-Pratt says the work is structurally sound. Read related article.
