Donald Trump is gaining a foothold in Washington with his latest deal: a plan for a luxury hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Trump kept the will-he-or-won’t-he talk going for months before <a data-xslt='_http' href='http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/donald-trump-wont-run-for-president-in-2012/2011/05/16/AF14G14G_blog.html'>announcing in May</a> that he wouldn’t run for president. That didn’t keep him out of the political spotlight, though.
