Organizers of the Blossom Kite Festival on the National Mall canceled today’s event as a result of rainy weather.
The kite festival, part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, had been scheduled for Saturday but was postponed until Sunday because of inclement weather. It was scheduled to be held near the Washington Monument.
