Fairfax County animal watch
The following incidents were reported by the Animal Control Division of the Fairfax County Police Department. For information, call 703-246-2253.
Dog bites pedestrian: Little River Tnpk., 6200 block, 12:15 p.m. Oct. 25. A Shih Tzu mix bit a pedestrian, who suffered minor injuries. The owner was charged with having no dog license or vaccinations.
Dog bites dog owner: Split Oak Lane, 10800 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 30. A Bichon poodle mix ran across a street and bit a female walking her dog. Minor injuries were reported.
Poodle mix impounded: Arlington Blvd., 6100 block, 10:40 a.m. Oct. 30. A poodle mix tied to a tree was left in the rain. The dog was impounded. Its owner was charged with having no dog license.
Dog needs license: Rupert St., 1700 block, noon Oct. 30. Animal control officers, checking on the welfare of a dog, found a boxer/American bulldog mix in good condition. The owner was charged with having no dog license.

Cat bites vet tech: Alma St., SE, 500 block, 4:16 p.m. Oct. 24 to 4:16 p.m. Oct. 26. A cat bit a veterinarian technician during a procedure.
Dog’s ear bitten: Glyndon St., NE, 300 block, 9:19 p.m. Oct. 26. A dog ran out of the tennis courts at a park and bit the ear of a dog being walked.
