FAIRFAX CITY

The following incidents were reported by the animal control section of the Fairfax City Police Department. For information, call 703-385-7924 or go to www.fairfaxva.gov and click on “Animal Control” on the police department’s main page.

Dogs at large: Gainsborough Ct., 11100 block, Nov. 3. Two loose Schnauzers ran to a Chihuahua being walked on a leash, and one bit the Chihuahua on the paw, causing minor injuries. Summonses charging the Schnauzers’s owner with dog at large are pending.

VIENNA

The following incidents were reported by the Vienna Police Department. For information, call 703-255-6396.

Dog bites employee: Park St. SE, 100 block, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 28. A dog bit an animal hospital employee who was attempting to perform a medical procedure on it.

Cat bites worker: Park St. SE, 100 block, 10:15 p.m. Nov. 2. A cat bit an animal hospital employee who was attempting to perform a medical procedure on it.

Loose dog: Moore Ave. SE, 200 block, 9:28 a.m. Nov. 1. An animal control officer picked up a medium, gray dog running in a neighborhood. The dog had a Vienna dog license; attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The dog was taken to the Fairfax County animal shelter.
