FAIRFAX CITY

The following incidents were reported by the animal control section of the Fairfax City Police Department. For information, call 703-385-7924 or go to www.fairfaxva.gov and click on “Animal Control” on the police department’s main page.

Sick raccoon euthanized: Country Hill Dr., 3500 block, Dec. 11. A sick raccoon was found in the back yard of a residence. The animal was in poor condition and was euthanized. There was no known human exposure to rabies or reason for rabies concerns.

Dog captured: Pinehurst Ave. and Brookwood Dr., Dec. 11. A shepherd-mix dog was running loose in the area. The dog’s owner and a friend were trying to capture the dog, and an animal control officer assisted them. The owner was issued a warning for allowing a licensed dog to run free.

Vienna
