FAIRFAX CITY

Reunited with owner: Oak Pl., 10700 block, March 11. A Brittany spaniel was found running loose and was taken to the shelter.

No neglect involved: Fairfax Blvd., 11100 block, March 13. Responding to a report of a possibly neglected dog living in a trailer, animal control found the animal to be in good health.

Nap interrupted: West Dr., 10700 block, March 14. Animal control removed a raccoon that employees of an apartment complex had found sleeping in a dumpster.

Vienna

The following incidents were reported by the Vienna Police Department. For information, call 703-255-6396.

Searching for dog and owner: Glyndon St. and Maple Ave. NE, 4 p.m. March 9. A pedestrian reported that a poodle being walked by its owner had lunged at him and bitten him on the leg. The man was unable to get the owner’s name.

Healthy but unkempt: Lawyers Rd. NW, 300 block, noon March 10. An animal control officer, responding to a report of neglect by a woman who occasionally cares for a dog, found the animal to be healthy but in need of grooming.
